Epsom and Ewell High School is a secondary school located at Ruxley Lane, Epsom, Surrey, England that opened in 1995. It is a coeducational, local authority school that educates children from ages 11-18, with over 900 on the role. It is situated in the borough of Epsom and Ewell, in the outlying suburbs of London. In 2010,EEHS was rated Grade 2 (good) by Ofsted, and was judged to have made good progress. [1]

School Turnaround

In 2009 the headteacher, Mr Russell made an immediate impact on the school issuing promises to the public about better quality staff, education and funding. The school was again inspected in 2010 in which the outcome was very positive with Ofsted saying the school had gone from being in "Special Measures" to 'Good with outstanding features'. The school continues to make progress. from 1 September 2010 the school has been designated as one of the government's specialist language colleges.

Aims

The school aims are : " To raise levels of achievement for all students with special Educational needs by making proper provision to meet their needs. To involve all teachers directly concerned with the identified students (teaching and non-teaching) in helping meet the students' needs. To seek students views and involve them in key issues and decision makings. Setting high standards for the students. To elevate students to their highest potential to fulfil a successful life.

Houses

In 2011 all houses were changed to Olympic themed houses and forms and their form tutors were put into the same houses.
